Sparks Camp Episode 5 Review

sparks camp episode 5 review

The fifth installment began with the campers giving out sparks. There were two couples who shared a common interest. First was Justin and Alex... so this was a massive blow to all the Alex and Bong fans (which includes me). And the other was Dan and Karl, which probably made the fans of the pair swooning over them.

The campers who didn't have a change of heart were:

Aaron (2x spark to Nick)

Bong (2x spark to Alex)

Justin (2x spark to Alex)

Dan (2x spark to Karl)

The next event was a trip down memory lane...

While most campers shared stories related to their past relationships, others about their family, Aaron's for me was the most captivating. His artistry was something I totally didn't expect.

And looking closely at his artworks, you can tell he tried to incorporate the negative emotions he felt at that time. He's not just drawing some weird random art, he's using his talent as an outlet for his inner demons.

Other stories that got my interest were from Stanley, Nick, and Dan.

In Stanley's case, having a sibling who fully loves and supports you is always heartwarming.

Nick who had a tattoo dedicated to his ex-girlfriend who made him feel valid as a bisexual was a nice gesture.

And Dan's, well, it was a bit sad for me. After he revealed he no longer have communication with his ex who gave him a gift (socks with rainbow print) to help him come out, I hope that person has seen this episode and felt very proud as he made someone's life brighter because of his simple, but meaningful gift.

Moving on to their next physical challenge called Keep It Close, well, frankly speaking, there's nothing much to react to except for the moments where the contestants almost kissed. So, here take a look:

This second one doesn't show like they were about to kiss, but I just thought they looked hot -- yeah, that's it.

PS: If you had seen this episode, I think we can all agree that Dan, Alex, and Stanley are all an open book. Their reactions are really made for TV (iykwim).
